Summary
Responsible for overall event and product marketing, including the development and implementation of event and sponsorship strategies, in conjunction with the SVP of Sales. A major focus of this role will be to ensure the creation, launch, and tracking of quality, relevant, integrated marketing campaigns that drive revenue growth, member engagement, and member satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- In conjunction with the CMO and Director of Communications, design, implement, and facilitate annual product and event marketing plan for ASUG
- Work with SAP liaison team to ensure cross-marketing activities are in place to support product and event rollouts and promotions
- Oversee ASUG’s electronic marketing efforts including search engine placements, and, in conjunction with SVP of sales, associate member advertisements on asug.com.
- Responsible for the development and execution of innovative and effective pre-show, at-show and post-show acquisition and retention strategies designed to drive attendance, sponsorship sales, and member engagement
- Develop and evangelize event positioning, messages, benefits and differentiation
- Improve membership conversion rate from event marketing leads
- Set messaging for each event and ensure that both objectives and messaging are delivered consistently throughout
- Work with internal/external writers to create compelling website and pre-program copy to build ASUG brands and drive attendance at events
- Analyze and evaluate product and event promotion and performance and make actionable recommendations for changes to future programming.
- Assist in the development and marketing of sponsorship and partnership opportunities
- Travel to support on-site execution
- Supervise event and product marketing staff
Qualifications
Mandatory qualifications:
- Proven track record of successful demand generation and audience acquisition campaigns
- Extensive event production and marketing experience.
- Significant experience in high level and detailed project management functions
- Excellent judgment skills
- Ability to supervise, coach, and review personnel
- Extremely strong customer service orientation

Special considerations:
- Average of 35% out-of-town overnight travel is required
