Q. My company is an ASUG member. How do I access our company’s benefits as a user?
A. Click on the "New? Get Login" at the top of the site to request your own username and password. With your username and password you will have access to all ASUG resources.
Q.How do I change my asug.com login password?
A. To change your password, login to asug.com with your existing password. Select “Update My Profile” on the top left of the Member homepage. Select “Security Settings” from the left rail options under “Membership”. Enter and confirm your new password, and click “OK”.
Q. When my company joins ASUG, how many employees can use ASUG’s resources?
A. If your company joins ASUG as a corporate member, there is no limit to the number of employees who can use ASUG's resources. Where membership resides at the individual level, an individual utilizes membership benefits and one asug.com login is included per membership.
Q. How do I find other SAP users like me?
A. Leverage the myASUG Network online networking tool to find ASUG members who work in the same field, are part of your industry, live in your region, have similar areas of expertise, etc.
Q. How do I find out what’s happening with ASUG in my area?
A. Through the Communities section of the site, find an ASUG Chapter located in your region. Additionally, view the Events Calendar for other face-to-face events which may be hosted in your area.

A. Through the Events Calendar section of the site, you can view events and access the ASUG event detail pages to register for an event.

Q. How do I become a volunteer with ASUG?
A. Visit the Volunteers page within the Communities section to learn more about volunteer positions and apply to be an ASUG volunteer.
Q. How do I add or remove myself from discussion forum e-mail notifications?
A.
1) Log in to asug.com
2) Select the Discussion Forums you would like to receive notifications for by clicking on Receive Email Notifications under Notifications on the right of the discussion or thread you are interested in.
3) Click Stop Email Notifications to unsubscribe.
4) Manage your subscriptions under the Email Notifications tab after selecting Profile under My Stuff.
Q. How do I add or remove myself from email subscriptions?
A.
1)Login to asug.com. Select "Update my Profile".
2) Under "My Information", select the email communication type, then go to "My Chapters" or "My SIGs" and make your selection/deselection.
Q. What are the e-mail notification/subscription rules between parent and child communities?
A. For email subscriptions, if a user subscribes to child community, they will only receive child community e-mails for all actions within that community. If a user subscribes to parent community, they will receive all e-mails for all actions within that entire community, including all its child communities.
Q. Why did Global Business Network (GBN) decide to merge with ASUG?
A. As SAP continues to integrate the BusinessObjects portfolio, a merged user group will ensure the needs of all members of the SAP ecosystem are met, regardless of data environment.
Q. How does the merger between ASUG and GBN impact the SAP ecosystem?
A. The ASUG - GBN merger on January 1, 2010 created one, independent resource for all professionals in the SAP ecosystem, delivering education, networking, and influence opportunities regardless of a member’s underlying platform. Our strength has always been in our numbers and diversity, and we are now even stronger.
Q. What happened to the content on the GBN Website?
A. It now resides on asug.com and is accessible to all ASUG members.
Q. How will GBN members continue to be represented at ASUG?
A. The five GBN SIG communities – Crystal Reports, Dashboarding, WebI/DeskI, Security and Administration, and Data Management now exist in ASUG. You can find these SIGs under the Technology SIG section and the Business Intelligence (BI) Community. All ASUG chapters will now offer BusinessObjects content for users in any data environment.
