Description
Please join the Workflow and Business Process Management SIG for thier upcoming Webcast, Workflow For Workflow's Sake.
User provisioning and decommissioning is a fact of life - one that is often overlooked in workflow implementations. This oversight can cost the company in terms of workflow administration, reliability, security, and compliance. Users are allowed to carry authorizations, roles, and custom relationships from one job to the next. Substitutes are frustrated when they see that departed colleagues can access their inboxes. This case study focuses on the decommissioning of users from two separate angles - from a position transfer in the HCM organization structure, where a person sometimes must have various roles and authorizations delimited - to the removal of roles, authorizations, and substitutions from the user ID perspective. The implementation of two relatively simple workflows has alleviated many pain points in the area of workflow infrastructure integrity.
