Think Tank Insights:

  • As of Sept. 8, 2020 The United Nations is the only governing body that publishes the full set of lists in the following languages: Arabic, Chinese, Russian, Spanish, French.

  • OFAC, when able, publishes names in the following languages: Arabic, Chinese, Cyrillic, Japanese, Korean, and Latin

  • EU consolidated list does not provide the full set of data in all the EU member state languages. However, if available, they do provide native languages.

  • Best Practices/Tips and Tricks:

    • Prevent your customer service team from changing addresses at time of order entry.

    • If you will use intl. address version, it will be a significant change to your business practice to get the English translation in the system.
