Pur­pose of Mem­ber­ship
 

With an ASUG Com­pa­ny mem­ber­ship, all indi­vid­u­als with­in the orga­ni­za­tion have access to mem­ber ben­e­fits for a 12-month term. All indi­vid­u­als must reg­is­ter with their com­pa­ny email to gain access to ASUG​.com.

Through chap­ters and com­mu­ni­ties, year-round online edu­ca­tion­al pro­gram­ming, hands-on train­ing, face-to-face events, and mul­ti­ple chan­nels of influ­ence, we con­nect our mem­bers to the peo­ple and infor­ma­tion they need to keep their careers and com­pa­nies mov­ing forward.

Our mis­sion is to facil­i­tate edu­ca­tion and con­nec­tions in the SAP ecosys­tem and to con­tin­u­al­ly expand our com­mu­ni­ty, bound togeth­er by real expe­ri­ence, to edu­cate, influ­ence, and enable busi­ness results and achieve real com­pet­i­tive advan­tage for all our members.

Gen­er­al Mem­ber­ship Conduct

This doc­u­ment sets the code of con­duct expect­ed of all mem­bers of ASUG and is a con­di­tion of mem­ber­ship. It applies to all mem­bers, irre­spec­tive of their mem­ber­ship type, the role they ful­fill, or the juris­dic­tion in which they live or work. Activ­i­ties may be sub­ject to addi­tion­al terms and con­di­tions. All indi­vid­u­als rep­re­sent­ing ASUG Mem­ber com­pa­nies must:

• Con­duct all busi­ness with ASUG and its mem­bers while act­ing with integri­ty, pro­fes­sion­al­ism, and respect.
• Act in the gen­er­al inter­est and will not use any posi­tion in ASUG to unfair­ly ben­e­fit an indi­vid­ual company.

Fail­ure to adhere to the ASUG Mem­ber­ship Terms and Con­di­tions may result in with­draw­al of your ASUG membership.

Mem­ber­ship Categories

SAP Cus­tomer Membership

SAP Cus­tomer mem­ber­ship dues are based on a com­pa­ny’s annu­al rev­enue. There are five rev­enue tiers:

• Under $500 million
• $500 mil­lion to $1.5 billion
• $1.5 bil­lion to $5 billion
• $5 bil­lion to $10 billion
• Above $10 billion

All indi­vid­u­als with a com­pa­ny email domain may reg­is­ter under the com­pa­ny’s active ASUG mem­ber­ship at no addi­tion­al cost. In order to attend or speak at events, all indi­vid­u­als must be part of an active com­pa­ny membership.

SAP Cus­tomer (Pub­lic Sec­tor Membership)

Any SAP cus­tomer that is con­sid­ered a pub­lic sec­tor com­pa­ny can take advan­tage of this mem­ber­ship, which is priced at the low­est tier of mem­ber­ship dues.

All indi­vid­u­als with a com­pa­ny email domain may reg­is­ter under the com­pa­ny’s active ASUG mem­ber­ship at no addi­tion­al cost. In order to attend or speak at events, all indi­vid­u­als must be part of an active com­pa­ny membership.

SAP Part­ner Membership

SAP part­ners are defined as those com­pa­nies who con­sult with SAP cus­tomers and pro­vide solu­tions and/​or services.

All indi­vid­u­als with a com­pa­ny email domain may reg­is­ter under the com­pa­ny’s active ASUG mem­ber­ship at no addi­tion­al cost. In order to speak, spon­sor, or attend events, all indi­vid­u­als must be part of an active com­pa­ny membership.

Inde­pen­dent Con­sul­tant Membership

This mem­ber­ship is avail­able only to indi­vid­u­als who are not cur­rent­ly employed by a cus­tomer or part­ner com­pa­ny. Mem­ber­ship is only avail­able to the indi­vid­ual by cre­at­ing an active ASUG profile.

Access with this mem­ber­ship includes the oppor­tu­ni­ty to par­tic­i­pate in both face-to-face and vir­tu­al events. How­ev­er, this mem­ber­ship does not include spon­sor­ship or involve­ment in the Exec­u­tive Exchange pro­gram. This mem­ber­ship also pro­vides the oppor­tu­ni­ty to par­take in ASUG Tal­ent Hub, where one can sub­mit their resume to poten­tial­ly be includ­ed in the inter­view process for con­tin­gent-based job open­ings at SAP cus­tomer companies.

ASUG will allow up to two inde­pen­dent con­sul­tants under an Inde­pen­dent Con­sul­tant Lim­it­ed 2 mem­ber­ship, and three inde­pen­dent con­sul­tants under a Lim­it­ed 3 membership.

Uni­ver­si­ty Alliance

Uni­ver­si­ty Alliance mem­ber­ship is avail­able to any uni­ver­si­ty that teach­es SAP in the cur­ricu­lum. This mem­ber­ship is com­pli­men­ta­ry. How­ev­er, if the uni­ver­si­ty is also an SAP cus­tomer, a paid mem­ber­ship is required.

User Groups

Only SAP cus­tomers may join under a User Group mem­ber­ship. How­ev­er, any cus­tomer that has a pres­ence in North Amer­i­ca would be required to obtain paid ASUG mem­ber­ship.
 

Sub­sidiary and Par­ent Companies

As of Jan­u­ary 2018, ASUG does not per­mit sis­ter and/​or par­ent com­pa­nies to join under one mem­ber­ship when the addi­tion­al com­pa­ny oper­ates as a whol­ly-owned, inde­pen­dent sub­sidiary of the par­ent or sis­ter com­pa­ny. Any indi­vid­ual com­pa­ny that has any one of the fol­low­ing attrib­ut­es list­ed below, sep­a­rate from the par­ent com­pa­ny, will be required to pos­sess indi­vid­ual membership:

• Com­pa­ny email domain
• Com­pa­ny name
• Brand logo
• Main­tain sep­a­rate P&L and finan­cial documentation
• Oper­ate under dis­tinct exec­u­tive lead­er­ship teams

Term of Membership

The ini­tial term of ASUG mem­ber­ship is one (1) year [from the date of Mem­ber­ship Acti­va­tion], unless oth­er­wise agreed. ASUG shall send mem­ber­ship quote reminders to its Mem­bers at least six­ty (60) days pri­or to the Mem­ber’s mem­ber­ship renew­al date. Quotes will also be held in each mem­ber’s account avail­able for easy down­load or pay­ment. Mem­bers will prompt­ly pay mem­ber­ship fees as part of con­tin­ued mem­ber­ship and keep key con­tact infor­ma­tion updated. 

For any mem­ber cur­rent­ly opt­ed in to a sub­scrip­tion (for­mer­ly auto-renew­al pro­gram), they will not receive an emailed state­ment or have access to a renew­al quote through their pro­file. Mem­ber­ship shall be renewed auto­mat­i­cal­ly for addi­tion­al one (1) year terms (each a ​“Renew­al Term”) under the same mem­ber­ship terms and con­di­tions of such Mem­ber’s cur­rent ASUG mem­ber­ship unless such Mem­ber noti­fies ASUG in writing/​email at least thir­ty (30) days pri­or to the billing date of upcom­ing Renew­al Term of its intent not to renew. 

Renew­al Pay­ment Terms/​Options 

Mem­ber­ship dues must be paid in full to acti­vate mem­ber­ship, unless oth­er­wise agreed upon. If pay­ment is not received by a member’s expi­ra­tion date, access to ben­e­fits will be cut off until pay­ment is received. A mem­ber has the fol­low­ing pay­ment options: Cred­it Card, Wire, and ACH payments. 

Auto-Renew­al Terms – this only applies to mem­bers that intend to pay via cred­it card or ACH through the online portal

By pay­ing through the online por­tal, the Mem­ber accepts these terms and con­di­tions autho­riz­ing ASUG to charge the cred­it card that Mem­ber has spec­i­fied in the amount of the bal­ance due as part of Member’s ASUG mem­ber­ship. The Mem­ber agrees that the pay­ment card spec­i­fied by Mem­ber for auto­mat­ic bill pay­ments to ASUG is, and will con­tin­ue to be, an account that mem­ber owns, and that Mem­ber will main­tain suf­fi­cient avail­abil­i­ty under Member’s cred­it card lim­it, as applic­a­ble, to pay Member’s ASUG bill. The auto­mat­ic charge to Member’s cred­it card will occur on their pre­vi­ous­ly estab­lished billing date. Once the pay­ment has been processed, the Mem­ber will receive an elec­tron­ic (email) noti­fi­ca­tion that pay­ment has been applied to Member’s card for the sum of Member’s mem­ber­ship dues. 

Recur­ring Pay­ment Autho­riza­tion Cancellation 

Mem­bers may can­cel recur­ring pay­ment autho­riza­tion to ASUG at any time, no less than thir­ty days pri­or to an upcom­ing billing date. In the event of can­cel­la­tion, Mem­bers will be sub­ject to cur­rent mem­ber­ship rates should they intend to renew. 

Mem­bers must noti­fy ASUG in writ­ing at least thir­ty (30) days pri­or to the billing date of the upcom­ing Renew­al Term of its intent not to renew or of its intent to change its mem­ber­ship category. 

Refund Pol­i­cy

Dues are nonrefundable.

Audit of Membership

ASUG will con­duct mem­ber­ship audits through­out the year to ensure all mem­bers are placed in the cor­rect mem­ber­ship type. This may alter dues for the fol­low­ing mem­ber­ship term. Mem­bers will be noti­fied pri­or to the mem­ber­ship change.

Dues Increase

ASUG may increase mem­ber­ship dues upon the expi­ra­tion of a member’s ini­tial term or renew­al term.
