Purpose of Membership

With an ASUG Company membership, all individuals within the organization have access to member benefits for a 12-month term. All individuals must register with their company email to gain access to ASUG.com.

Through chapters and special interest groups (SIGs), year-round online educational programming, hands-on training, face-to-face events, and multiple channels of influence, we connect our members to the people and information they need to keep their careers and companies moving forward.

Our mission is to facilitate education and connections in the SAP ecosystem and to continually expand our community, bound together by real experience, to educate, influence, and enable business results and achieve real competitive advantage for all our members.

General Membership Conduct

This document sets the code of conduct expected of all members of ASUG and is a condition of membership. It applies to all members, irrespective of their membership type, the role they fulfill, or the jurisdiction in which they live or work. Activities may be subject to additional terms and conditions. All individuals representing ASUG Member companies must:

  • Conduct all business with ASUG and its members while acting with integrity, professionalism, and respect.
  • Act in the general interest and will not use any position in ASUG to unfairly benefit an individual company.

Failure to adhere to the ASUG Membership Terms and Conditions may result in withdrawal of your ASUG membership.

  • $1.5 billion to $5 billion
  • $5 billion to $10 billion
  • Above $10 billion

All individuals with a company email domain may register under the company's active ASUG membership at no additional cost. In order to attend or speak at events, all individuals must be part of an active company membership.

SAP Customer (Public Sector Membership)

Any SAP customer that is considered a public sector company can take advantage of this membership, which is priced at the lowest tier of membership dues.

All individuals with a company email domain may register under the company's active ASUG membership at no additional cost. In order to attend or speak at events, all individuals must be part of an active company membership.

SAP Partner Membership

SAP partners are defined as those companies who consult with SAP customers and provide solutions and/or services.

All individuals with a company email domain may register under the company's active ASUG membership at no additional cost. In order to speak, sponsor, or attend events, all individuals must be part of an active company membership.

Independent Consultant Membership

This membership is available only to individuals who are not currently employed by a customer or partner company. Membership is only available to the individual by creating an active ASUG profile.

Access with this membership includes the opportunity to participate in both face-to-face and virtual events. However, this membership does not include sponsorship or involvement in the Executive Exchange program. This membership also provides the opportunity to partake in ASUG Talent Hub, where one can submit their resume to potentially be included in the interview process for contingent-based job openings at SAP customer companies.

ASUG will allow up to two independent consultants under an Independent Consultant Limited 2 membership, and three independent consultants under a Limited 3 membership.

University Alliance

University Alliance membership is available to any university that teaches SAP in the curriculum. This membership is complimentary. However, if the university is also an SAP customer, a paid membership is required.

User Groups

Only SAP customers may join under a User Group membership. However, any customer that has a presence in North America would be required to obtain paid ASUG membership.

Subsidiary and Parent Companies

As of January 2018, ASUG does not permit sister and/or parent companies to join under one membership when the additional company operates as a wholly-owned, independent subsidiary of the parent or sister company. Any individual company that has any one of the following attributes listed below, separate from the parent company, will be required to possess individual membership:

  • Company email domain
  • Company name
  • Brand logo
  • Maintain separate P&L and financial documentation
  • Operate under distinct executive leadership teams

Refund Policy

Dues are nonrefundable.

Audit of Membership

ASUG will conduct membership audits throughout the year to ensure all members are placed in the correct membership type. This may alter dues for the following membership term. Members will be notified prior to the membership change.

Dues Increase

ASUG may increase membership dues upon the expiration of a member’s initial term or renewal term.
