Next week, ASUG will host ASUG Best Practices: SAP for EAM, a virtual conference focused on the enterprise asset management space. Attendees will not only hear from SAP about how the organization is working to meet its customers’ EAM-related needs, but also from thought-leaders on how this space is evolving and customers on how they are leveraging EAM solutions in their business. Here is a preview of some of the sessions available to attendees.

Keynotes Explore the State of EAM

The event will feature two keynote addresses. Patrick Crampton-Thomas, vice president of asset management and Service and SAP Digital Supply Chain Solution Management, will kick off the conference with a discussion about how the seismic shifts in the business world have impacted the EAM space, and an overview of the work SAP is doing with EAM. You can read an interview we conducted with Patrick here.

Bill Taylor, co-founder of Fast Company, will start the second day of the conference off with a keynote address focused on the challenge of leading organizations through times of transition and change. ASUG also got a chance to sit down with him before his keynote. Read our conversation here.

Customer Stories Exploring the Reality of EAM 

 ASUG Best Practices: SAP for EAM will feature sessions where customers discuss their deployments of SAP EAM solutions, and how those implementations have aided the organizations. Jason Mitchell, enterprise transformation & digital solutions manager at

Kaneka America Holdings will be joined by Alok Pant, CEO of Unvired Inc. to discuss how the chemicals manufacturer partnered with Unvired to release mobile applications for SAP Plant Maintenance.

Tammy Powlas, senior business analyst at Fairfax Water (and a future ASUG Talks podcast guest!), and Sandra Burns, business process analyst, will be giving a presentation on Fairfax Water’s SAP S/4HANA project last year, and how the organization is beginning its journey to leveraging SAP Fiori applications.

Laura Musgrove, project manager for Freeport-McMoRan, will discuss how the organization successfully implemented SAP Asset Manager mobility solution.

Hear From SAP 

SAP will also have a significant presence at the virtual conference. Tom Kurtz, global solution lead for asset and service management at SAP, will give a session focused on innovations in the SAP Business Networks for asset management, MRO, and service procurement.

Jamie Shein, EAM consultant for SAP, and Kaushal Bhatt, EAM global digital transformation leader at SAP, will discuss how SAP customers are leveraging SAP solutions to bolster their EAM operations.
