What are Chemical Company’s 2021 Sustainability Initiatives and Goals to drive growth and weather on-going economic, social, environmental, and political turbulence:

Throughout 2020 we have seen changes to how the world does business. In this think tank we are hoping to cover some of the areas of sustainability in the chemical industry. How have some of these changes effected the chemical industries sustainability efforts? How have certain sustainability goals changed or shifted, what green technologies are companies focusing on to support recycling and a circular economy, and how are companies reducing carbon and providing transparency across the value chain.

The format for Wednesday, Feb. 10 at 11:30 a.m. ET / 10:30 a.m. CT will include:

  • A brief introduction and welcome from ASUG
  • Hot-topic discussion led by ASUG member Becky Simoneaux from Albemarle and Jenna O'Toole from SAP
  • The discussion will focus on:
    • Strategic initiatives
    • Green technologies that support recycling, reducing carbon, and providing transparency and reporting across the value chain
    • Policy proposals related to regulation and trade (some of which are coming from other industries, like consumer products)
