Through­out 2020 we have seen changes to how the world does busi­ness. In this think tank we are hop­ing to cov­er some of the areas of sus­tain­abil­i­ty in the chem­i­cal indus­try. How have some of these changes effect­ed the chem­i­cal indus­tries sus­tain­abil­i­ty efforts? How have cer­tain sus­tain­abil­i­ty goals changed or shift­ed, what green tech­nolo­gies are com­pa­nies focus­ing on to sup­port recy­cling and a cir­cu­lar econ­o­my, and how are com­pa­nies reduc­ing car­bon and pro­vid­ing trans­paren­cy across the val­ue chain. 
 
The for­mat for Wednes­day, Feb. 10 at 11:30 a.m. ET / 10:30 a.m. CT will include:

• A brief intro­duc­tion and wel­come from ASUG 
• Hot-top­ic dis­cus­sion led by ASUG mem­ber Becky Simoneaux from Albe­mar­le and Jen­na O’Toole from SAP 
• The dis­cus­sion will focus on: 
  • Strate­gic initiatives 
  • Green tech­nolo­gies that sup­port recy­cling, reduc­ing car­bon, and pro­vid­ing trans­paren­cy and report­ing across the val­ue chain 
  • Pol­i­cy pro­pos­als relat­ed to reg­u­la­tion and trade (some of which are com­ing from oth­er indus­tries, like con­sumer products)
