After beginning his new role at Loudoun Water (LW), Jeff Smith quickly optimized planning and scheduling at LW by implementing Bill of Materials (BOM). With his change management experience, Jeff identified key business users in need of a better way to maximize their SAP systems. In a short two-month period, LW was able to assign BOM to over 1,000 pieces of equipment. Using standard SAP transactions and already-established master data governance processes in place at LW, staff were able to find the data they needed to implement BOM at LW.
