Welcome to the ASUG S/4HANA Migration Influence Council

This event will take place on: Wednesday, March 6 at 1 p.m. ET/12 p.m. CT

With this presentation, we will explore the holistic idea of "clean core" with special focus on extensibility. The idea of the session is to give a short overview on the different dimensions of clean core (Business Processes, Extensibility, Data, Integration, and Operations) and how this can be put into reality based on different examples. Additionally, there is room for direct questions and discussions around the topic.

Guest Speaker: Lukas Bretschneider - Principal Technical Architect - SAP Deutschland SE & Co. GK

Lukas Bretschneider is a consultant with more than 17 years of experience in the area of SAP technologies. After 10 years in the Walldorf HQ, he is now supporting customers from Berlin.

In the last years, Lukas was involved within SAP in different programs helping to shape the clean core strategy internally as well as with SAP customers to “reality check” especially the extensibility dimension of clean core.

Key Takeaways:

  • A clean core strategy describes wholistic ERP best practices in order to enable the use of new technologies.
  • Clean core, is the IT prerequisite to be able to technically respond to business change in an agile way.
  • The ideas and mindset can - especially as of SAP S/4HANA release 2022- be adapted in the system as of now. The longer one waits, the more technical debt might accumulate.
