Think Tanks connect you with peers navigating the same challenges and opportunities as you. ASUG will facilitate an interactive peer-to-peer exchange where solutions are shared for topics specific to your role and interest.

It’s a surprising secret that a large percentage of SAP’s SAP ERP and SAP S/4HANA customers are small and midsize companies. While many small and midsize companies also need a future-proof solution that handles sophisticated business requirements, not all have the IT budget and staff of large enterprises.

Join us to share your challenges and learn what your peers are planning on tackling now and in 2021. From the business case for transitioning to SAP S/4HANA, to getting more out of your SAP ERP solution, to how to get better training/tools/support, hear how midsize companies are making the most of their SAP solutions.

Join us on Thursday, Dec. 3 at 12:30 p.m. ET/11:30 a.m. CT.

  • Welcome and kick-off by ASUG
  • Rapid case study led by ASUG member Tim Coyle from Mrs. T’s Pierogis and Marian Harris from SAP
  • The discussion will focus on:
    • Brainstorm and get feedback from other midmarket-focused companies on challenges that you’re facing.
    • Help shape which topics we recruit experts to help us tackle in 2021.

Gain visibility into the challenges and successes other SAP customers are experiencing, and acquire new ideas for real-world solutions.

Think Tank Insights:

Poll results: Please select your top 3 topics for 2021 (multiple choice)

Midmarket Friendly Tools: What are your favorite mid-market friendly tools (SAP or not) to help use and manage your landscape (for tasks like testing, data management, U improvement, integration, and more) 40%

Business Case for S/4HANA: What are the most important drivers or benefits in your business case for making the shift to S/4HANA 60%

Training on SAP/skills/products/processes: How are you getting new employees/existing staff trained/refreshed on SAP skills? Where are you getting your training content and how are you tailoring it for your company? How are you rolling out training as well? 60%

SAP Fiori Migration: What is your strategy to migrate SAP users from SAP HUI to Fiori? Will you make limited access to the SAP GUI part of your plan, or will you pull the plug on SAP GUI? 40%

SAP Analytics Cloud reality check: Who has experience with SAP Analytics Cloud and has it met your expectations for analytics and reporting? 60%

  • One of the main challenges/hot topics is getting ready and preparing to make the business case to leadership.
  • Many mid-sized customers have not made the jump to S/4 yet in some of the partners’ experience. They seem to be delaying a little bit and have the perspective that it will be more affordable to wait. Larger customers, however, are on the journey to S/4, or already there, and are seeing the value from that.
  • SAP Analytics Cloud is a refreshing change as well from solutions in the past.
