SAP Intelligent Enterprise Enablement Series 

Abstract:

The Office of State Revenue, or OSR, is part of Queensland Treasury, a public-sector agency in Queensland, Australia. 

OSR plays a critical role in delivering simple, efficient and equitable revenue management services. OSR administers a range of state taxes and mining and petroleum royalties totally approximately $17 billion.  This revenue helps fund essential community services and infrastructure. 

This session will address:

  • Key business drivers that led to OSR wanting to transform its business model
  • The importance of completing ground work before the transformation commences
  • What is the implementation approach?
  • How OSR is managing innovation; understanding innovation as a continuous cycle
  • Current and anticipated benefits from the program

Participants in this session will benefit by learning about how Machine Learning Tax Insights, C/4HANA, SAP Data Hub, and the OSR Tax Portal fit together. They will learn how OSR is using disruptive technologies such as intelligent process automation and AI based taxpayer voice recognition services.

Speaker Bios:

Simon is a Deputy Commissioner in the Office of State Revenue (OSR), Queensland Treasury, and a member of the Senior Executive Team. 

Simon has over 20 years’ experience across all revenue lines and functions in State revenue offices, and Treasury functions including policy development and portfolio reviews.

Simon’s responsibilities are to lead the enabling divisions of OSR, including information technology services, risk and analytics functions, and the OSR Transformation Program.

 

Katherine is the Program Director for the Office of State Revenue Transformation Program, and is responsible for transforming OSR into a client centric, digitally enabled and data driven organisation.

Katherine has directed and led multiple digital transformation programs, from development of business case, to board approval and subsequent program delivery.
