What if you build an app and your employees don’t use it? What if they don’t tell you that they don’t like it and why? In this session, we will share a customer case study on how to gather and use feedback sessions to drive development and deliver apps that people actually use.

The format for Tuesday, July 28 at 2 p.m. CT will include:

  • Brief welcome and kickoff from ASUG

  • Rapid case study led by ASUG member Cristin Charbonneau from Canadian Blood Services

  • The discussion will focus on:

  • Application development

  • How to gather and use employee feedback

  • How to create an app your employees will use

  • Sharing of recent wins or successes, along with resources utilized

Gain visibility into the challenges and successes other SAP customers are experiencing, and acquire new ideas for real-world solutions.

If you are experiencing challenges and would like to lead your own case study, fill out the survey here

Think Tank Insights:

  • Reports were created so that they could see inspections over time and year-over-year. Gave charts to show current health of the building. The ability to export to excel was included.

  • Challenges:

    • Move to an almost completely manual system to a digital solution

    • Difficult to visualize because it is net new

    • Difficult to measure user adoption when the exercise of inspecting buildings only happens once a year

    • Issues with performance of the system in different areas of the country

      • Managers have limited exposure to SAP (purchase requisition approval, employee leave requests, performance appraisals)

      • Building techs have little to no exposure to SAP

  • Peter: Information: If you are not familiar with "Slipstream Engine", this is a technology that allows you render simplified SAP GUI screens on mobile devices. It is a component of SAP Screen Personas.

  • Gregg: Thinking about the challenges that we have discussed on the call around change and adoption, a good book to read is ADKAR. Helps to understand the org change process.

  • Sylvain: Highly recommend shadowing the techs to better understand their day-to-day operations and even the smallest detail can make a hug impact on the usage of a new implementation or barrier to adoption.
