• CMMC is cumu­la­tive in nature and self-sus­tain­ing – DoD is not fund­ing this, though they will cov­er some of the cost of the ear­ly pilot and pathfind­er programs 

• Rec­om­men­da­tion to do a readi­ness inspec­tion to find the gaps & cre­ate a plan of action to bol­ster those areas to pre­pare for CMMC 

• SAP Sup­port offers a Secure Oper­a­tions Map tool to help com­pa­nies with readi­ness inspec­tion and self-assess­ment to prepare 

• It is impor­tant that com­pa­nies do this now, because many will not have time once CMMC require­ments offi­cial­ly drop
