Man­u­fac­tur­ing oper­a­tions man­age­ment (MOM) is a set of poli­cies, process­es, and pro­ce­dures exe­cut­ed with an appli­ca­tion frame­work. We will explore what a MOM is and how it can fit into an appli­ca­tion infrastructure. 

The for­mat for Tues­day, Dec. 15 at 9 a.m. CT will include: 

• A brief wel­come and kick­off from ASUG 

• Hot-top­ic dis­cus­sion led by ASUG mem­ber Car­ol Kirk­patrick from Bell 

• The dis­cus­sion will focus on: 

• What is a MOM? 

• Where does it fit in the appli­ca­tion infrastructure? 

• How are A&D com­pa­nies using MOMs? 

Gain vis­i­bil­i­ty into the chal­lenges and suc­cess­es oth­er SAP cus­tomers are expe­ri­enc­ing, and acquire new ideas for real-world solutions.

• MOM = Man­u­fac­tur­ing Oper­a­tions Man­age­ment, and the goal is to elim­i­nate ​“swiv­el chair” integration 
• To opti­mize MOMs with­in the appli­ca­tion infra­struc­ture, need to make sure all par­ties in enter­prise are aware of all the phas­es of engi­neer­ing, design, logis­tics, manufacturing 
• With MOMs, AD&D com­pa­nies can take a more gran­u­lar look at the shop floor to finesse oper­a­tions process­es. Direct feed­back from shop floor is great asset.
