Capac­i­ty Mod­el­ing for SAP HANA: Know­ing when SAP HANA is Full

In the fall of 2014, Raytheon installed SAP BW on SAP HANA. For two years, this 3.5 TB sys­tem was able to grow with the company’s data demands. Two years lat­er, the growth pro­jec­tions are right on tar­get, but today’s con­cern is how to know if the sys­tem is real­ly full and what hap­pens if it becomes over­filled. This ses­sion gives rec­om­men­da­tions for mem­o­ry siz­ing and ongo­ing oper­a­tions and demon­strates Raytheon’s capac­i­ty-track­ing mod­el and what hap­pens when SAP HANA fails due to mem­o­ry issues.
