exist­ing SAP BW sys­tems to SAP BW/4HANA. Learn which addi­tion­al objects can be con­vert­ed auto­mat­i­cal­ly to HANA-opti­mized mod­els that are com­pat­i­ble with SAP BW/4HANA. See demos of new fea­tures that are shipped with ver­sion 1.5 of the con­ver­sion tools. Hear feed­back from cus­tomers using the tools to suc­cess­ful­ly con­vert their sys­tems to SAP BW/4HANA.

Marc Bernard is a Sr. Chief Archi­tect in Prod­uct Man­age­ment for SAP HANA with a focus on in-mem­o­ry com­put­ing tech­nol­o­gy, enter­prise data ware­hous­ing, and busi­ness intel­li­gence. He has been with SAP since 1997 and has more than sev­en­teen years of expe­ri­ence in Data Ware­hous­ing at SAP spe­cial­iz­ing in sys­tem archi­tec­ture, sys­tem migra­tion and con­ver­sion, busi­ness plan­ning appli­ca­tions, and secu­ri­ty. Since 2010, Marc has been engaged in the launch of SAP HANA, the game-chang­ing, real-time plat­form for ana­lyt­ics and appli­ca­tions, and with his expe­ri­ence Marc is one of SAP’s most valu­able assets for these solu­tions. Marc is now play­ing a major part in the roll­out of SAP BW/4HANA, the next gen­er­a­tion data ware­house solu­tion from SAP.

In his role as Chief Archi­tect he has a strate­gic focus on future devel­op­ment top­ics, works close­ly aligned with the devel­op­ment team, and is a trust­ed advi­sor for SAP’s cus­tomers. In addi­tion, Marc has very strong tech­ni­cal skills in areas such as cross-mod­ule appli­ca­tion inte­gra­tion, SAP sys­tem and data­base man­age­ment (SAP Basis), ABAP cus­tom devel­op­ments, and per­for­mance tun­ing. Marc has spo­ken at SAP-spon­sored events such as SAP­PHIRE, WIS BI Con­fer­ences, SAP TechEd, and ASUG forums. On a reg­u­lar basis, he expands SAP’s method­ol­o­gy by cre­at­ing how-to papers, host­ing know-how con­fer­ence calls, and imple­ment­ing use­ful tools to make adopt­ing SAP Busi­ness Ware­house (SAP BW) and SAP BW/4HANA a more beau­ti­ful expe­ri­ence for cus­tomers. He is also a mod­er­a­tor and active con­trib­u­tor for the SAP HANA and SAP BW/4HANA forums on the SAP Community.
