Checklists are needed in every industry and in many EAM processes, but especially for inspections and maintenance. SAP Consulting and the DSAG User Group collected the requirements for a checklist solution from many customers:

•           “A legally binding documentation is essential”
•           “Many different objects should be checked within one work order. We don’t want to handle 20 work orders to inspect 20 objects.”
•           “The result recording of the checks should be very simple”
•           “An OK / Not OK Result is not sufficient. The result could be out of a defined catalog or could be a numeric value which has to be checked against limits.”
•           “The checklists are object specific.”
•           “The checklists for an inspection should be created automatically by the system.”
•           “The effort for master data maintenance should be very low.”
•           “We want to simulate the checklists for a work order.”
