Abstract:

This session will take you into our New Generation Business Process for a Circular Economy. You will learn what solutions SAP is working on to support the transition from a linear economy into a circular economy.

Starting with improving operational and logistics processes spanning inbound, manufacturing and outbound that impacts multiple industries.

This session will share insights on the importance of taking steps towards trust and transparency (i.e. farm to fork scenario) and support the drive into a zero-waste production processes addressing the impact to:

 

•                Increasing regulations 

•                Growing energy and resource constraints 

•                Deploying smart “Intelligent” equipment 

•                Addressing the lack of skilled workforce

•                Supporting customer expectations

Merlijn Ekkel, SAP 

Speaker Bio:

Merlijn Ekkel has been delivering BusinessObjects reporting solutions since 1999 and joined BusinessObjects in 2001. After gaining extensive experience of the core reporting tools and platform Merlijn expanded his technical reach to cover the company’s Applications and ETL products. Between 2003 and 2008 his focus has been to support all parties in the migration to the lastest versions, both from legacy Business Objects and competitive products.

Between 2008 and 2011 he joined the SAP BusinessObjects Competency Centre, focussing in supporting Sales, Sales Consultancy and Field Services in positioning the SAP BusinessObjects suite to our customers. In this role he has been the lead architect for EMEA services in regards to Analytics and specially BI. During this period his main role was to support customers, partners and colleagues in enabling a successful BI deployment. By taking the overview of the requirements he moved a derailed project back in the right track and/or guided complex projects to a success.

In 2011 he continued this role on a Global level within Solution Management as the expert in BI. As the direct link between development and customer, he helped many customers to a success. In 2013 he move to the BI GTM team as Director BI Solutions and is co-driving the BI direction within SAP, BI4x Adoption and BI Cloud for all of SAP from the GTM Side.
