Shut­downs and restric­tions that gov­ern­ments imposed to lim­it the spread of COVID-19 have made it hard for many house­holds to afford basic needs as thou­sands of Amer­i­cans are now strug­gling to pay month­ly util­i­ty bills.

Util­i­ties and pol­i­cy­mak­ers rec­og­nize that ser­vices like water and elec­tric­i­ty are essen­tial to peo­ples’ health, safe­ty, and com­fort. Since mid-March, they have tak­en steps to keep these ser­vices acces­si­ble to cus­tomers. To com­bat delin­quen­cy and mora­to­ri­um, Met­ro­pol­i­tan Util­i­ties Dis­trict has relied on SAP Ana­lyt­ics Cloud dash­board and insights to improve finan­cial sta­bil­i­ty and vis­i­bil­i­ty to cus­tomer receivables.
