This event is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, July 25 at 9 a.m. ET/10 a.m. CT

SAP plans to ship a new solution for single sign-on in SAP GUI scenarios, “SAP Secure Login Service for SAP GUI” in Q2 2023. The solution provides secure authentication and single sign-on for business applications. It integrates with central authentication solutions such as an identity provider, thus eliminating the need for multiple passwords, increasing end-user productivity, and protecting business data with strong authentication methods. SAP Secure Login Service for SAP GUI will not require any additional on-premises server components and so further reduces implementation efforts and TCO.

Key Takeaways:

• With SAP Single Sign-On going out of mainstream maintenance in 2027, SAP decided to offer a new solution so that customers do not lose critical security capability.

• SAP Secure Login Service for SAP GUI allows customers to integrate single sign-on for SAP GUI tightly with an existing identity provider, aligning user experience and security capabilities for SAP GUI and browser-based user interfaces

• As SAP Secure Login Service for SAP GUI relies on cloud services, there is no longer the need to operate an SAP NetWeaver Application Server Java for security capabilities like multi-factor authentication
