Think Tanks connect you with peers navigating the same challenges and opportunities as you. ASUG will facilitate an interactive peer-to-peer exchange where solutions are shared for topics specific to your role and interest.

The Mill Products and Mining Think Tank invites you to wrap up the year in an open forum, looking back at 2020 and thinking on how to make 2021 a success.

The format for Tuesday, Dec. 15 at 3 p.m. ET/2 p.m. CT will include:

  • Brief welcome and kickoff from ASUG
  • Discussion led by ASUG members Olivier Durif from Newmont and Sanjay Srivastava from Evergreen Packaging

We will review the past 2020 sessions, focusing on:

  • What worked well
  • Suggestions for improvement
  • Key industry trends

Gain visibility into the challenges and successes other SAP customers are experiencing, and acquire new ideas for real-world solutions.

If you are experiencing challenges and would like to lead your own case study, fill out the survey here

Think Tank Insights:

  • Having an event to go over pitfalls to avoid and best practices from the industry, in 2021.
  • Jim Buttjer: Data/MDG is something that is underappreciated, often, it is my recommendation to get ahead of this.
  • There are tools out there to not only help with a one-time data reconciliation effort, but also ongoing efforts – Chain SYS has one solution. The ability to see the relationships is key here, and you can see that impact on the relationships with everything else that material is involved with. You don’t have to have a platform to necessarily do this, but it definitely makes it easier, so that is my recommendation for those of you looking into this to check out.
  • Data is a key topic that we will focus events on in 2021 as well as SAP roadmaps.
    • Look out for a Feb. 3 session with the Calgary and British Columbia (Vancouver) chapters from Nutrien on Central Finance.
