Overview 

To achieve oper­a­tional excel­lence, com­pa­nies need a trans­for­ma­tion strat­e­gy that empow­ers cross-func­tion­al teams (com­prised of IT and OT pro­fes­sion­als) 
to orches­trate change to improve oper­a­tional per­for­mance. The plan they exe­cute needs to align with top busi­ness pri­or­i­ties, anchored by per­for­mance mile­stones 
that have been dif­fi­cult to attain in the past. Addi­tion­al­ly, siloed data sources that pro­vide oper­a­tional insight should be inte­grat­ed so that per­for­mance improve­ments 
and process stream­lin­ing con­tribute to improv­ing oper­a­tional process­es. These are key ele­ments required to real­ly dri­ve trans­for­ma­tion for oper­a­tions. 

This inno­va­tion day will dis­cuss the oil and gas industry’s dig­i­tal trans­for­ma­tion, which is in the process of focus­ing on next-gen­er­a­tion oper­a­tional excel­lence and asset 
per­for­mance man­age­ment solu­tions. Ses­sions will dis­cuss how tech­nol­o­gy, data, busi­ness process­es, and cul­ture must be con­sid­ered and ratio­nal­ized to dri­ve success.

By devel­op­ing an enter­prise trans­for­ma­tion plan, com­pa­nies can adjust to dynam­ic changes occur­ring in their indus­try and suc­cess­ful­ly nav­i­gate the hype cycles 
dri­ven by tech­nol­o­gy to improve deci­sions and process­es in operations.

Com­pa­nies that have been suc­cess­ful with trans­for­ma­tion are focused on improv­ing deci­sions at the point of work exe­cu­tion. They also nav­i­gate dynam­ic enter­prise changes, using this approach to reduce risk, enable safe work prac­tices, and improve oper­a­tional vis­i­bil­i­ty, one project at a time.
