When Dow part­nered with SAP to deliv­er their lat­est ERP plat­form, Dan­ger­ous Goods (DG) func­tion­al­i­ty was ele­vat­ed to a new lev­el. Built on the stan­dard SAP mod­el with minor cus­tomiza­tions, Dow now man­ages to deliv­er DG clas­si­fi­ca­tions on labels, out­put doc­u­ments and SDSs for all modes of trans­porta­tion glob­al­ly for a vari­ety of prod­ucts, wastes and raw mate­ri­als. In this ses­sion, we will review:

•Chal­lenges of inte­grat­ing data sources, work process­es, and cross-func­tion­al needs while meet­ing glob­al reg­u­la­to­ry requirements

•Ben­e­fits and enhance­ments gained from imple­ment­ing SAP

•Lever­ag­ing learn­ings to future endeavors

Kel­ly Gojkovich, Dow Chemical

Ms. Gojkovich joined The Dow Chem­i­cal Com­pa­ny in August 2010 as an EHS Trans­porta­tion Reg­u­la­to­ry Man­ag­er.  She is cur­rent­ly the Busi­ness Process Expert for Dan­ger­ous Goods in the Dia­mond Sys­tems Solu­tions Orga­ni­za­tion, respon­si­ble for ensur­ing com­pli­ance with reg­u­la­tions, glob­al process­es and stan­dards.  Ms. Gojkovich was an inte­gral team lead dur­ing one of the largest mul­ti-year SAP imple­men­ta­tions in the indus­try where she was respon­si­ble for solu­tion imple­men­ta­tion, data con­ver­sion efforts, change man­age­ment and training.

With almost 20 years of expe­ri­ence in the chem­i­cal indus­try, Ms. Gojkovich has held glob­al lead­er­ship posi­tions in Haz­ard Com­mu­ni­ca­tion, EHS and Trans­porta­tion Reg­u­la­to­ry Com­pli­ance.  She main­tains Dan­ger­ous Goods reg­u­la­to­ry cer­ti­fi­ca­tions with IATA, IMDG, CFR and TDG, as well as being inti­mate­ly famil­iar oth­er glob­al trans­port regulations.

Ms. Gojkovich holds a Mas­ter of Sci­ence Degree in Poly­mer and Coat­ing Tech­nol­o­gy from DePaul Uni­ver­si­ty where she was the two time recip­i­ent of the Coat­ings Indus­try Edu­ca­tion Foun­da­tion Fellowship.
