NextEra Energy’s latest technology journey involves an SAP IS-U and SAP Cloud for Customer integration for the more than 500,000 recently acquired regulated utility customers. In addition to the new SAP Customer Relationship and Billing and the customer information system, NextEra is implementing a new web portal, interactive voice response, and work management system. NextEra’s commitment to excellence involves a 1,000-customer pilot program to serve as a “small-scale implementation” to reduce risk to the overall solution and customer experience by receiving real-time customer feedback. By executing a pilot deployment, NextEra will gain valuable feedback on key product features early, enhancing the operational readiness of the new platform.
