Join the ASUG Midwest Central chapter for a virtual presentation and discussion with Lincoln Electric System, a utilities provider based in Lincoln, Nebraska. 

This call will be hosted over Zoom and will offer extensive facilitated networking opportunities, designed to keep you connected with your chapter peers. This event will be the first in a series of four virtual events surrounding Utilities industry topics.

The format for Friday, July 31 at 11:00 a.m. CT will include:

  • Brief welcome and kickoff from ASUG 
  • Presentation by Tyler Sanderson, Functional Analyst II at Lincoln Electric System, and Oscar Del Castillo, ERP Functional Analyst II at Lincoln Electric System

The presentation and discussion will focus on LES’ continuous transformation of work and asset management practices:

  • LES first implemented Work Manager for its meter technicians in 2017. Two years later, LES drastically increased their use of standard plant maintenance process and mobility by expanding its use to transmission, distribution, generation, substation and facilities assets.
  • Along the way, LES has incorporated some new functionality into GIS and Work Manager to better serve our needs. The functionality includes:
    • SAP – GIS integration for transmission and distribution assets, notifications and orders
    • Issuing materials from Work Manager to specific order
    • Documenting additional information using Forms built in MS Power Apps
