Join the ASUG Pitts­burgh Chap­ter for a vir­tu­al con­ver­sa­tion on with NRG, an inde­pen­dent pow­er pro­duc­er based out of Pitts­burgh, PA.

As an Inde­pen­dent Pow­er Pro­duc­er, NRG owns and/​or oper­ates more than 40 dif­fer­ent facil­i­ties that car­ry inven­to­ry for main­te­nance and oper­a­tions. Because cost is asso­ci­at­ed with each dol­lar of inven­to­ry car­ried in a ware­house due to staffing, track­ing, tax­es, and oth­er items, we need to track approvals for addi­tion or sub­trac­tion of each inven­to­ry item. For many years this was per­formed man­u­al­ly through obtain­ing and attach­ing email approvals, then man­u­al­ly cre­at­ing or chang­ing the mate­r­i­al mas­ters. We devel­oped our Parts Por­tal to track approvals and facil­i­tate mate­r­i­al cre­ation and changes, result­ing in time saved in data entry and enhanced trace­abil­i­ty of approvals.
