DT: Digital Transformation: Rethinking Asset Management in the Digital Age
Balancing cost, risk, and performance in the best sense of ISO 55001 requires a lot of information for decision-making. While all of the underlying data might be available somewhere, today it is still mostly stored in a very heterogeneous landscape of system, if not even sitting in the brains of the workers.
The challenges for asset management have not changed too much. Organizations have to calculate capital versus operational expenditures, they have to make sure their operations are effective, efficient and safe, and they have to stay compliant with all sorts of regulations and stakeholder expectations. But, in today’s world, business processes span many more organization than ever before, customers are much better information, and competition has dramatically increased.
On the other hand, there are a lot of opportunities using new technologies to meet these challenges. IT and OT applications are converging. Big Data is a challenge, but also an opportunity when leveraging predictive analytics. Asset might be sold as a service while transparency about their performance can be obtained via the Internet of Things. And finally, information is much more accessible using cloud and mobile applications.
This webcast will show how these new technologies help organizations achieve operational excellence using the digital framework. You will hear how it provides information, how to combine IT and OT data for predictive analytics, leverage the cloud for collaboration alongside the asset lifecycle, and equip workers and managers with best-in-class information and applications to manage their jobs.
During this webcast we will share key highlights from our upcoming SAP Centric EAM event March 7 - 10,2016 in Denver. This is a definite must attend event for EAM community members.
We will also share with you some of the very exciting things our ASUG EAM Community has planned for you in 2016.
