Entrepreneurial Thinking: Becoming an Intrapreneur Inside your Corporation

Intrapreneurship helps organizations to generate new business growth, to build an environment to sustain innovation, to improve productivity and to increase financial returns. It also helps to attract and retain the best and brightest talent, to stretch and grow employees while keeping them engaged, and to facilitate and accelerate culture change. Since 2011, Hans Balmaekers and his team have been hosting events all around the globe, creating a space for intrapreneurship and curating the best stories, ideas, and people in this emerging field. Hans will share key insights and learnings from these events and the intrapreneurship community.

Intrapreneurship helps unleash the power of innovation inside your organization. Many assume that innovation starts with ideas. The second part of this session will focus on the precursors to ideas coming to life: a culture that embraces change and empowered employees. Having worked with hundreds of entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs, Dr. Susan Amat will discuss the skills needed for employees to create both incremental and disruptive solutions, and the challenges of overcoming personal and environmental barriers to professional and corporate growth.
