This web­cast will begin with SAP’s Karsten Hauschild dis­cussing the cur­rent state of mobile EAM and then your will hear from Michael Golds from Altalink dis­cussing their Work Man­ag­er with SAP & GIS inte­gra­tion expe­ri­ences. Pro­vid­ing the right data to the right peo­ple at the right time is a cor­ner­stone of AltaLink’s Asset Man­age­ment infor­ma­tion pro­gram. Mobile, loca­tion based asset infor­ma­tion was a pri­ma­ry crit­i­cal devel­op­ment path for us. As such Inte­grat­ing loca­tion based infor­ma­tion from ESRI with our equip­ment infor­ma­tion in SAP was one of the first steps we took in that jour­ney. In 2014 AltaLink Imple­ment­ed SAP Work man­ag­er to replace an in house trans­mis­sion line man­age­ment pro­gram. As part of that work we also inte­grat­ed SAP with ESRI to pro­vide object loca­tion aware­ness (geo-enable­ment) so we could use map based inter­faces in both SAP GUI and Work Manager.
