At Cardinal Health, information is the lifeblood of our business processes. As with any asset, it must be cataloged, have defined ownership and have transparency into the quality and accuracy of the asset. We gain knowledge from information and use that to make informed decisions and we realized that our approach to creating/ maintaining, governing and understanding the value of our information assets needed to evolve.

To address this, we developed a practice around information management with emphasis on

  1. A metadata solution as a foundation to drive our data governance practice
  2. Master data quality and governance to ensure ongoing data quality is maintained.

We would like to share our overall approach to data governance, the capabilities leveraged within EIM suite and the creative solutions we came up with across our program.
