Boe­ing has ini­ti­at­ed one of the biggest dig­i­tal busi­ness trans­for­ma­tions to date with our 2^nd Cen­tu­ry Enter­prise Sys­tems (2CES) ini­tia­tive. 2CES is about dig­i­tal trans­for­ma­tion of The Boe­ing Com­pa­ny by reduc­ing the amount of time it takes to cre­ate val­ue, elim­i­nat­ing unnec­es­sary com­plex­i­ty and improv­ing our abil­i­ty to use ana­lyt­ics to make bet­ter deci­sions. One of the key com­po­nent of the dig­i­tal trans­for­ma­tion is Glob­al Data Access (GDA) using an Attribute Based Access Con­trol (ABAC) across the extend­ed Boe­ing enter­prise, includ­ing local and inter­na­tion­al sub­sidiaries, design cen­ters, sup­pli­ers, and part­ners. In this pre­sen­ta­tion we will describe the process we used to engage, get buy-in, and accep­tance of busi­ness units, busi­ness func­tions, and infor­ma­tion secu­ri­ty on our approach and method­ol­o­gy for data-cen­tric autho­riza­tion solu­tions to secure data in real time with our SAP and oth­er 2CES plat­forms across the extend­ed enter­prise.
