What is GDPR? GDPR is the "General Data Protection Regulation", and is effective May 2018. If you have personal data of EU citizens (employees or customers), this regulation concerns you too. Designed to unify data privacy laws across Europe and globally, the new policy strengthens data protection for all. The penalties for non-compliance are severe… up to 4 percent of annual global turnover, or $23 million USD (20 million Euro), whichever is greater.
