Preflight for the Northrop Journey to SAP S/4HANA

When Northrop Grum­man, a pio­neer­ing com­pa­ny that solves the tough­est prob­lems in space, aero­nau­tics, defense, and cyber­space, required a next-gen­er­a­tion, enter­prisewide busi­ness process plat­form, the tech­nol­o­gy of choice was SAP S/4HANA. Already on SAP HANA, Northrop need­ed a sys­tem able to pro­vide ever-increas­ing lev­els of busi­ness process speed, effi­cien­cy, agili­ty, qual­i­ty, and risk man­age­ment. Northrop then embarked on a struc­tured assess­ment jour­ney to uncov­er exact­ly how a move to SAP S/4HANA would deliv­er the tan­gi­ble out­comes need­ed to jus­ti­fy busi­ness investment.

In this ses­sion, Will Setiyawan will share Northrop’s vision and expect­ed val­ue from the SAP S/4HANA imple­men­ta­tion, how he worked close­ly with the busi­ness to eval­u­ate both brown­field and green­field options, and what the team dis­cov­ered dur­ing the process. Matthew Cord­ner will describe the key role HCL played sup­port­ing Northrop’s vision, due dili­gence, busi­ness case, and imple­men­ta­tion planning.
