As part of its ongo­ing Run SAP Like a Fac­to­ry ini­tia­tive, Rock­well Automa­tion Inc. embarked on rolling out the Data Vol­ume Man­age­ment (DVM) mod­ule in SAP Solu­tion Man­ag­er, and the results were shock­ing. Rock­well was amazed by how much unused and obso­lete data it had in its sys­tem, some of it going back to when SAP soft­ware was first imple­ment­ed 10 years ago. This ses­sion cov­ers how Rock­well is using DVM to get an accu­rate pic­ture of its sys­tems and the steps it has tak­en to clean them up.
