In a recent inter­view with ASUG Talks, Travis Smith, Prin­ci­pal SAP Enter­prise Archi­tect at SA Pow­er Net­works, broke down how the Aus­tralian util­i­ty com­pa­ny approached its dou­ble RISE with SAP migra­tion project. 

Through­out the wide-rang­ing con­ver­sa­tion, he touched on crit­i­cal top­ics for the util­i­ties com­mu­ni­ty. Not only did Smith artic­u­late the need for two instances – one to house its Indus­try Solu­tion for Util­i­ties (ISU) and anoth­er for SAP S/4HANA. Addi­tion­al­ly, he walked lis­ten­ers through the impor­tance of change man­age­ment, iden­ti­fy­ing SAP Fiori cham­pi­ons, and spend­ing the time (and bud­get) to ensure all stake­hold­ers are looped into the com­ing changes from such a project.
