The ASUG Ten­nessee Chap­ter is excit­ed to announce that it is host­ing an SAP Code­Jam on SAP HANA®, express edi­tion in a city near you.

This Code­Jam focus­es on get­ting you start­ed with a ver­sion of SAP HANA, express edi­tion* run­ning on your own hard­ware or in the cloud. It will cov­er the basics, from deter­min­ing the best ver­sion for your needs, to hard­ware require­ments, to down­load and instal­la­tion. Then we’ll ensure that you have the secu­ri­ty set, a new user and are able to con­nect your SAP HANA Stu­dio, SAP WebIDE for SAP HANA as well as the SAP Web Devel­op­ment Work­bench. By the end of this Code­Jam event you’ll be able to head back home and start work­ing in your own SAP HANA environment!

*What is SAP HANA Express Edi­tion (HXE)?

HXE is stream­lined and opti­mized for spe­cial appli­ca­tion sce­nar­ios built on per­son­al com­put­er with spe­cif­ic mem­o­ry use lim­its. Since the data size is lim­it­ed, the plat­form can be opti­mized by reduc­ing the foot­print, such as the dynam­ic tier­ing or real-time repli­ca­tion. And devel­op­er can eas­i­ly upgrade their plat­form to oth­er full-use edi­tions to get those crit­i­cal capa­bil­i­ties when they need them.
