This CodeJam focuses on getting you started with  a version of SAP HANA, express edition* running on your own hardware or in the cloud. It will cover the basics, from determining the best version for your needs, to hardware requirements, to download and installation. Then we’ll ensure that you have the security set, a new user and are able to connect your SAP HANA Studio, SAP WebIDE for SAP HANA as well as the SAP Web Development Workbench. By the end of this CodeJam event you’ll be able to head back home and start working in your own SAP HANA environment!

*What is SAP HANA Express Edition (HXE)?

HXE is streamlined and optimized for special application scenarios built on personal computer with specific memory use limits. Since the data size is limited, the platform can be optimized by reducing the footprint, such as the dynamic tiering or real-time replication. And developer can easily upgrade their platform to other full-use editions to get those critical capabilities when they need them.
