As part of the ASUG Women Connect program, ASUG invites you to our inaugural ASUG Women Connect Think Tank. ASUG Think Tanks connect you with peers navigating the same challenges and opportunities as you.

This is your opportunity to reconnect with Caitlin MacGregor and Kimberly Sharp after their Women Connect webcasts in July and meet our next Women Connect webcast speaker Liuba Loiko. You can use the ASUG Women Connect program link above to view their webcasts and register for any upcoming ASUG Women Connect events before this event.

In this open-forum conversation, we offer our members the opportunity to discover their unique professional talents, how to turn those talents into career strengths, and how to leave the status quo behind by gaining the tools needed to create an equitable workplace.

Please bring your questions, personal experiences, advice, and resources to share for this event!

The format for Wednesday, Aug. 19 at 12 p.m. CT will include:

Think Tank Insights:

  • Fake it til you make it is huge in leadership. Don’t succumb to imposter syndrome – trust in your knowledge and skills and project your confidence.

  • Confidence grows from within. Lead with love, and cultivate meaningful relationships with colleagues, employees, leaders, and peers to facilitate success.

  • We won’t get anywhere alone. Work to create a strong support system of women mentors, leaders, colleagues, coaches.

  • Help cultivate allies in your organizations! Educate the people you work with on women’s perspectives, issues, and successes in the workplace.

  • Women are natural team builders. Remember to focus on the “me” as much as the “we”.
