Franz Hero, Senior Vice President, Supply Chain and Logistics Development, SAP SE

Franz Hero is responsible for the Supply Chain and Logistics development at SAP. This area spans a large portfolio of solutions for supply chain planning, supply chain execution and supply chain networks. The unit is spread across all continents, in many locations. Franz job is to lead the unit - defining and cascading the strategy, ensuring alignment and collaboration with all key stakeholders, and driving on time, in-scope, and quality delivery of the different products. Furthermore, a key area of his responsibility is the close work with customers for deal support or co-innovation projects with development.

Franz started at SAP in 1990 and his career spans management positions in development, consulting and solution management. He has been responsible for numerous industry and solution areas, including the aerospace and defense, high tech and chemicals industries, as well as solutions for project management, controlling and financials, supply chain execution, and now supply chain management.

As part of his management positions, Franz transferred to work for several years in the Silicon Valley (USA) as well as in Shanghai (China).

Since the end of 2015, he is based again at SAP headquarters in Germany.

Franz Hero holds a master degree in Physics from the University of Saarbrücken, Germany.
