Sustainability and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) reporting are hot topics in business today. SAP believes that ESG reporting is necessary but not sufficient to address global warming. Corporations must do more to have direct, material effects on sustainability. In this presentation, we’ll explore two areas where supply chain professionals can have an outsized impact. Procurement professionals can consider the Scope 3 carbon emissions of parts and products, along with the traditional considerations of price, delivery, and quality. We’ll show how to bring all of these elements together to run scenarios that consider trade offs in the context of procurement and supply chain management.
