SAP is con­stant­ly pro­vid­ing updates on its exten­sive suite of prod­ucts. Whether it is sim­pli­fy­ing the user expe­ri­ence or intro­duc­ing new func­tion­al­i­ties, these changes can have an impact on your cur­rent sys­tems and future devel­op­ment plans. 

Inno­va­tion in SAP Busi­ness Intelligence

Some inno­va­tions set to arrive ear­ly this year include updates to SAP Busi­nes­sOb­jects BI 4.3 and hybrid ana­lyt­ics on SAP Ana­lyt­ics Cloud. In a recent SAP Road Map web­cast that ASUG host­ed, Adri­an West­more­land, prod­uct man­ag­er at SAP, walked atten­dees through some of the biggest updates for the two plat­forms. This ver­sion of the appli­ca­tion is cur­rent­ly in beta but will be released for gen­er­al avail­abil­i­ty in Q2 2020. 

With this release, SAP Busi­nes­sOb­jects will fea­ture — among oth­er things — a more intu­itive user expe­ri­ence, tighter inte­gra­tion with SAP Ana­lyt­ics Cloud, and the abil­i­ty to sup­port the lat­est indus­try stan­dards. With all these changes, this new ver­sion of SAP Busi­nes­sOb­jects also is designed to be eas­i­er to deploy and imple­ment with­in an orga­ni­za­tion. After detail­ing the updates, West­more­land gave a live demon­stra­tion of the big changes com­ing to SAP Busi­nes­sOb­jects BI 4.3 and hybrid ana­lyt­ics for SAP Ana­lyt­ics Cloud, as well as how they actu­al­ly work. 

ASUG Mem­bers Get a View into SAP Road Maps 

This busi­ness intel­li­gence road map web­cast is just one in a series devel­oped in coop­er­a­tion with the SAP Road Maps team. Designed to be infor­ma­tive, these week­ly web­casts high­light road maps for a vari­ety of SAP prod­ucts and solu­tions. ASUG mem­bers will get a reg­u­lar pre­view into the direc­tion SAP prod­ucts are moving. 

You and your team can learn more about the solu­tions your orga­ni­za­tions are cur­rent­ly using as well as those they are con­sid­er­ing. The web­casts offer a deep dive as well as a high-lev­el overview of inno­va­tions planned for release.

What’s Next for SAP S/4HANA

For many ASUG mem­bers, SAP S/4HANA is top of mind. Ulrike Raidl, VP of SAP S/4HANA solu­tion man­age­ment, will host a road map web­cast that will pro­vide atten­dees with an overview of how SAP S/4HANA dif­fers from oth­er ERP plat­forms. Raidl will lay out the newest inno­va­tions and how they can be applied to numer­ous Lines of Busi­ness (LoB). Ahe’ll touch on some of the newest func­tion­al­i­ties that were intro­duced in SAP S/4HANA 1909, and help users under­stand how they can lever­age those fea­tures in their work.
